Team building, Wellbeing and Resilience
Our wellbeing and resilience Program offers the students a variety of activities to support their strengths in overcoming challenges. Wellbeing encompasses many aspects of life so we decided to focus on social, mental and physical wellbeing through team building, yoga and mindfulness and fitness.

At Fit Futures, we have already successfully introduced mindfulness into our gymnastics and dance programs and found these aspects have positively helped pupils in lessons. They also have improved their focus and attention as well as self-worth and attitude towards their learning. Therefore, we decided after much success to include a more detailed and wholesome element into our 10-week program.
Fitness is key in all parts of physical education, but we decided to focus on resilience to support fitness. We help students develop ways to improve mental fitness and their ability to push themselves beyond their perceived limits. This element of the program will also teach pupils about the effects of exercise and how to improve fitness.
Finally, team building and leadership, one of our favourite aspects of this unit. In this technology fulled age, teaching and giving students opportunities to interact positively and deal with conflict resolution is vital. We have fun and engaging lessons planned to engage and inspire pupils to be leaders and have an understanding of the different and varied roles in sport.
